Star Trek screenwriters Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman have turned in their draft of Cowboys & Aliens, and now they are waiting to hear what everyone thinks of it. The script was turned in five days ago, so they should be getting word any time now about who liked it and who didn't. The script has been sent out to producers and actors, which includes the all-star team of Brain Grazer, Ron Howard, Steven Spielberg, and Robert Downey Jr. as the potential star of the film. If they like it then the movie will get the greenlight. Orci and Kurtzman say they've done the best they could.

We're waiting to hear from the principals. We try not to turn it in until we think it's ready. Obviously, there are always things you can improve.

The story takes place in Silver City, Arizona, where Apache Indians and Western settlers must lay their differences aside when an alien spaceship crash lands in their city.

It sounds like it could be a lot of fun, Orci and Kurtzman have said that they've put their own twist on the story. The film is based of of the Fred Van Lente's graphic novel Cowboys & Aliens. I love the concept of this story, and I hope it get turned into a decent film.
