Jason Patric is a fantastic actor that in my opinion is underrated and isn't used enough in film, so it's also nice to hear when he is cast in a movie. He has joined the cast of the Warner Bros, Dark Castle film The Losers, which is an adaptation of the DC-Vertigo comic book. He will join Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Chris Evans, Zoe Saldana and Idris Elba who have already been cast in the film.
Patric plays Max, a CIA agent who has gone off the rails and sets up the title characters, a black ops team, to be killed. This will be the first time that Patric has played a true villain, this is also the first comic book movie that the actor will star in. He explains why he has taken the role in this comic book movie:
Let's face it, the geeks have inherited the world, and if you want to be a player in this system, you have to be willing to do some of this, but I wouldn't do 'The Losers' if it wasn't interesting to me as an actor.
He's right about the geek inheriting the world. Our army is growing bigger and whether the people like it or not, one day everyone will be a geek. It's just part of human nature I suppose. I think Jason Patric will do a fine job as the villain in this film.
