WHITE CHICKS Sequel is coming whether you want it or not

Unnecessary sequel alert!!! The Wayans Bros and Sony are putting the wheels in motion for a follow up to their 2004 comedy White Chicks. THR reports that Shawn(Scary Movie) and Marlon Wayans(G.I Joe) will reprise their roles as sibling FBI Agents posing as white ladies.

Keenen Ivory Wayans(Little Man/I'm Gonna Get You Sucka) will helm the sequel, with all three Wayans writing and producing.

The original film was a surprise hit, grossing almost $70 million domestically from a budget of around $37 million. The trio last worked together on Dance Flick, which they acted in, produced and co-wrote. Dance Flick has taken in only dollars more than it's budget of $25 million. Which gives a bit more insight into why they would jump at the chance to pump out a sequel to White Chicks.

This news just makes me miss the days of the Keenan directed and created, I'm Gonna Get You Sucka and In Living Color, and the Shawn and Marlon written and  starring vehicle Don't Be a Menace to South Central while Drinking Your Juice in the Hood. Those were the days, I don't know how the magic was lost. I actually wanted to go see Dance Flick, but the more I saw from the film, the less I cared.
