Facebook Movie THE SOCIAL NETWORK gets Greenlit

The Facebook Movie can finally change it's status!

The last thing on it's mind, was a surprisingly happy review praising writer Aaron Sorkin(A Few Good Men) for his Facebook script The Social Network, based off of Ben Mezrich’s book The Accidental Billionaires, which followed the formation of the social networking website.



Now there's some reasonable cause for some smiley face emoticons and a slew of OMG's, because EndOfShow reports Columbia Pictures has officially greenlit production on The Social Network.

Production will begin in October on the $47 million budgeted flick. As we've posted on their wall before, director David Fincher(Fight Club/Benjamin Button) will helm, with Scott Rudin, Kevin Spacey and Dana Brunetti producing.
