They already control everything else, so it was only a matter of time before iTunes took over the world of film as well. At least they're taking baby steps with their first original film, which clocks in at a mere 7 minutes. But it's all about quality, not quantity. Right?

In honor of the 25th Anniversary of rockumentary This Is Spinal Tap, the members of Spinal Tap venture to the monument they made famous.

Having put Stonehenge on the map in their legendary song about the world heritage site, pay their first visit to the monument. As if drawn by some primal, magnetic force, Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest), David St. Hubbins (Michael McKean) and Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer) set out on a pilgrimage to this ancient site. The silent song of these mysterious lithic Sirens inspires the distinguished artistes to make a trans-generational house-call.

Needless to say, hilarity ensues. The trailer for Stonehenge: 'Tis A Magic Place is available on iTunes for free. And the full 7 minute film is only $1.99. I've gotta say, it's the best two bucks I ever made my older brother pay.

The short film is part of a large celebration of the 25th anniversary of This is Spinal Tap, which has included a Blu-ray release of the film, a new Tap album (Back From the Dead) and a recent concert tour from Guest, McKean and Shearer, where they performed acoustic versions of songs from This is Spinal Tap and A Mighty Wind.

If you're lazy, and you don't want to spend two bucks. Or if you still need a Spinal Tap and Stonehenge fix, then here is Guest as Nigel in the online segments he did to promote last year's Discovery Channel Special, Stonehenge Decoded.
