James Cameron Interview: the Risks of making AVATAR in 3D

As every major studio has a 3D release, 2009 has become the year of 3D. In this in depth segment from BBC World News, we learn how the format works, why it failed in the 1950's and 80's, and how it is being perfected today.

Also, director James Cameron, weighs in on the risks of using the 3D format in his forthcoming movie(and possibly the most expensive film of all time), Avatar. He has plenty of faith in this evolving medium. As we've reported before, he plans to make all of his future projects in 3D as well.
