R.I.P. JOHN HUGHES 1950-2009
We are very sad to report this news. Writer/Director John Hughes has died of a heart attack. Hughes was 59.
TMZ reports Hughes suffered the heart attack while taking a morning walk during a trip to NYC to visit family.
Hughes brought us some of the most beloved and popular movies of the 80's and 90's. Including: 16 Candles, The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Pretty In Pink, Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Home Alone.
He tackled teenage angst with humor, but always managed to stick real emotion and heart into his films.
I must point out, that I'm such a fan of Hughes, that my alias "Abe Froman" is taken from a fictional character mentioned but never seen, in a scene from Hughes' Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Which I'm sure most of you have caught onto or have pointed out.
John, you will be missed. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.
