Del Toro bringing DC's DEADMAN to the Big Screen!

DeadmanMovie

Warner Bros. has brought on board Danish director Nikolaj Arcel(Island of Lost Souls), to helm a big screen adaptation of DC Comics' Deadman, with Guillermo del Toro producing.

Deadman is the ghost of a murdered circus acrobat who has the power to possess the living in order to seek out his killer as well as to help the innocent. The character first appeared in 1967 and was created by writer Arnold Drake and artist Carmine Infantino.

Three years ago, before del Toro was busy with The Hobbit films and a slew of other projects piling up for him, the project was brought to him as a possible directing vehicle with Gary Dauberman penning the adaptation.

Del Toro will now produce Deadman along with Angry Films' Don Murphy and partner Susan Montford. Murphy has a few red flags though, as he produced both Transformers movies, and possibly the worst Comic Book adaptation, The League of Extraordinary Gentleman. Hopefully del Toro will be the one leading the charge.

Arcel has had some experience in film with the living being possessed by the dead.

Here's the trailer for Arcel's Island of Lost Souls(I assume remake).

So what do you think of Deadman coming to the bigscreen?
