Disneylands STAR TOURS II Ride Trailer!
Earlier this year we heard that Disneyland's Star Tours ride was getting a new overhaul! We heard it was going to be a reboot of the exact same ride, but after seeing this trailer it really looks like they made a lot more changes. There is also the possibility that it will be in 3D, but that has yet to be confirmed. The way it was described back in may was that the Star Tours vehicle is going to be chased by Boba Fett. C3PO and R2-D2 are still the hosts, and Admiral Ackbar holographically communicates with the Star Tours vehicle.
This ride really needed a makeover. I loved it when it first opened up! That was the first ride I wanted to go on every time we went to Disneyland. These days there is no line to wait in, you can walk right on. It's been around for so long and technology has come such a long way that it is a very dated ride now.
In an exciting scene from the new Star Tours, guests aboard Starspeeders will join in a high-speed pod race through the desert canyons of Tatooine. The launch of the new Star Wars based attraction was announced at the D23 Expo on Saturday by Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Jay Rasulo.
