MOBY DICK TV Movie Gets a Great Cast

There is a TV movie being developed based on the classic novel Moby Dick. The film is being developed over at TeleMunchen Group, and they are spending 25.5 million dollars on the film! That my friends is a lot of freakin money for a TV movie. This seems like it is going to be one hell of an event.

The cast of this film is pretty damn incredible. William Hurt has signed on to play Captain Ahab, which just seems like inspired casting. Ethan Hawke will play Starbuck, the first officer of the whaling ship Pequod, not the character from Battlestar Galactica. Charlie Cox from the film Stardust, will play Ishmael, a new crewman on the final voyage of the ill-fated vessel and the narrator of the tale. Donald Sutherland will be Father Mapple, and Gillian Ansderson will play Ahab's wife, Elizabeth.

It sounds like the studio is going all out on this one, and I have the feeling it's going to end up being a very good TV movie. I'm excited to see how this ends up. What do you all think of this big TV adventure?
