new Fantastic-Fest poster for ANTICHRIST

Here's a new poster for Lars Von Trier's controversial new film Antichrist, starring Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg.

Designed by artist David D’Andrea, the 27″ x 40″ print was commissioned by and sold exclusively at Austin's Fantastic Fest. I'll probably have to steer clear of this film, as I just can't stomach this kinda stuff. I'm afraid of the woods as it is. And if "Nature is Satan's Church", I'll lose my mind the next time I find myself on a nature hike, "Get outta my way squirrel!"

But this poster is a lot easier to bear than the creepy Scissor Poster they released earlier this month.

The talk of 2009 Cannes Film Festival, where star Charlotte Gainsbourg took home the award for Best Actress, IFC will release AntiChrist On Demand and in theatres October 23, according to the IFC website.

A couple lose their young son when he falls out the window while they have sex in the other room. The mother’s grief consigns her to hospital, but her therapist husband brings her home intent on treating her depression himself. To confront her fears they go to stay at their remote cabin in the woods, “Eden”, where something untold happened the previous summer. Told in four chapters with a prologue and epilogue, the film details acts of lustful cruelty as the man and woman unfold the darker side of nature outside and within.
