Who doesn't like Tom Hanks? The guy is a great actor, and a great comedian, and seems like a pretty awesome guy. For the first time since 1996's That Thing You Do, Hanks is writing, directing and starring in a new film called Larry Crowne. He must have really enjoyed working with Julia Roberts in Charlie Wilson's War as well, because she will be starring in the film right along side Hanks.

The film is a comedy where Hanks plays the title character described as a man forced to reinvent himself and find a new career as he navigates the second act of his life. How great is it that Hanks is doing another comedy?! I love it when Hanks does comedy! The guy is such a natural at it.

The film is being produced by Hank's Playtone partner Gary Gotzman. This will be Hanks next film and production starts in Los Angeles in April.

I'm really excited to see what comes of this film. I absolutely loved That Thing You Do, which proved that Hanks really is a multi-talented guy.
