GREEN ZONE: Behind the Scenes with Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon

Earlier this week a behind-the-scenes featurette for Universal's Green Zone popped up on Apple. The picture, sound FX  and foliage noise were all there, but for some odd reason there wasn't any dialogue. It seemed like everyone was lip reading one another. Aside from it being quite funny, the "behind-the-scenes" / information giving aspect pretty much went out the window. Especially since I'm not very good at lip reading non-curse words. But I assumed director Paul Greengrass and star Matt Damon were talking about the action and how this compares to the Bourne movies they worked on. Needless to say, the video was quickly and unceremoniously yanked.

Well the sound is fixed and the featurette has reappeared! So much to my delight, they WERE talking about the Bourne movies! (I know, it's like I have super powers) But the footage also gives some great insight into the story and the action is superb.

Inspired by the Rajiv Chandrasekaran non-fiction book Imperial Life in the Emerald City, and adapted by Brian Helgeland (L.A. Confidential, Mystic River, Man on Fire), Green Zoen centers on a pair of CIA agents (Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear) on the trail of Weapons of Mass Destruction and a foreign correspondent following their mission.

Check out the featurette in HD over at Apple. Or watch the embeddable version from our friends at FirstShowing below. If you haven't already, also be sure to check out the Trailer Here.
