GREMILINS In 3D?

According to Marketsaw who specializes in all things 3D, we are going to end up seeing a new Gremlins movie that will be filmed in stereoscopic 3D. The film is in very early stages of production but according to their sources, it is going to happen. The film will be shot in 3D and not converted from a 2D print, which means the 3D will actually be good.

The question is... do we want to see a Gremlin's movie in 3D? Just the fact that they are making another Gremlins movie scares me. I hate when studios try to revive 80's classics. I am a huge fan of the original films that were produced by Steven Spielberg and directed by Joe Dante, who just directed another 3D family horror film called The Hole. I think there is a good chance the movie could be good if they brought Dante back to make it. The Hole has been getting some very positive buzz, so I guess we'll see what happens.

I definitely don't want to see the original film remade! I think it would be much better if they continued the story all of these years later. It would be nice to see where the characters all ended up. But that's just me, if they are going to do it anyway. As a fan of the movies, that's what I want to see.

What do you think about watching the Gremlin's come to life in 3D?
