Ron Howard to Direct Vince Vaughn in a new Comedy

Ron Howard has committed himself to direct an untitled comedy starring Vince Vaughn. The film is set up at Universal Pictures with Imagine Entertainment’s Brain Grazer who will produce along side Vaughn and his Wild West Picture Show banner. Grazer and Vaughn worked together on coming up with the story.

The story is an exploration of the comedic fallout surrounding infidelity between lovers and friends. It follows a man who learns that his best friend's wife is cheating and must then navigate treacherous waters to decide what do with that knowledge.

The script was written by Allan Loeb who wrote the films 21 and Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps, which Oliver Stone is currently in production on.

Vaughn loves these dysfunctional relationship movies, he worked on both The Break-Up and Couples Retreat recently. Hopefully this is more of a comedy than a drama.

The most exciting thing about this is the fact that Ron Howard is going back to his roots to direct a comedy again. It seems like it’s been a really long time since Howard has made a good comedy. It will be fun to see what he does with Vaughn in this.
