Twilight's Taylor Lautner teaming up with Tom Cruise in NORTHERN LIGHTS
UPDATE: Collider is now reporting that they've received word that Tom Cruise is not starring in this movie and - as if that wasn't enough - the character of the billionaire father is not even in the story. Original post follows.
Turns out that Taylor Lautner is currently the highest paid teenage actor in Hollywood, making $7.5 million for his next film. It’s crazy how fast this kid's career has launched since the first Twilight film; he’s come a long way since Shark Boy and Lava Girl. It seems every studio wants a piece of him. To put things in perspective he makes more starring in films than Zac Efron and Miley Cyrus.
In his next film, Northern Lights, he will star right along side Tom Cruise. The film is being directed by Max Payne director John Moore, which really isn’t a selling point for me since I thought Max Payne was an awful film.
Northern Lights is about a gifted, young, aerobatics pilot who faces off with his controlling, billionaire father and falls in love with a gifted, female pilot.
Paramount Pictures has a first look deal at the film, so if they want it, it’s theirs. Lautner is also starring in Paramount’s Max Steel action film, which is based on the toy from the 90’s.
One thing’s for sure, Lautner has a team of freaking great agents and publicists that are making all this possible for him.
