Die-hard LOST fans (myself included) are already on edge because the normal January start date for the show has been pushed back to February 2nd, 2010. Now there is a very real possibility that the show will be delayed for another week.

Here's the deal. According to multiple sources, the White House is considering two dates for the President's State of the Union Address: January 26th, or February 2nd. Why not simply choose the January date? Because American Idol's premiere falls on that night. As saddened as I am to type these words, LOST is no match for American Idol when it comes to ratings. So with all of these "what if's" floating around, there's a good chance that LOST fanatics will have to wait until Feburary 9th to find out what happened after Juliet hit that hydrogen bomb.

A campaign has already started on Twitter, with the hashtag "#NoStateofUnionFeb2" so feel free to join the cause. Here's hoping A.) The White House follows obscure Twitter campaigns, and B.) for an angry mob of American Idol fans on January 26th.
