CIARAN HINDS TO JOIN CAST OF 'GHOST RIDER 2'

Ciaran Hinds is currently in negotiations to join the cast of 'Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance'.  He will play the devil who is plotting to take over the body of his mortal son on the boys birthday.  Johnny Blaze, played again by Nicholas Cage, is hired by a religious sect to fight the devil. 

Violante Placido, Italian actress and singer, is also currently in talks to join the cast and play the mother of the boy.  Most recently she starred alongside George Clooney in 'The American'.  No word is available yet on who will play the role of the boy. 

Filming will begin in Romania and Turkey in late November for a 2012 release.  Hopefully the film will be better than the first.  Hinds is a much more evil villain compared to Wes Bentley's "Blackheart" in my opinion.
