Eddie Murphy cast in Brett Ratner's TOWER HEIST
Eddie Murphy will be joining Ben Stiller and Alan Alda in the Brett Ratner-directed film Tower Heist at Universal Pictures.
It seems like it's been a long time since we've heard from Eddie Murphy. The guy disappeared in a flood of kids films over the last few years. I wondered if he'd ever do a non-kid movie again, but doing a movie with Ratner really isn't any better. I can't say I'm too thrilled about this movie because Ratner sucks.
Tower Heist follows an overworked manager (Stiller) of an illustrious tower residence who leads a team of defrauded workers in a heist of its penthouse tenant, a Bernie Madoff-type Wall Street capitalist (Alda) who pulled a Ponzi scheme and swindled the staff.
The script for the action comedy is being rewritten by Jeff Nathanson, and the film is scheduled to come out on November 4th 2011.
