'Big Bang Theory' star Johnny Galecki cast in Andrew Niccol's new Sci-Fi Film

Johnny Galecki from the TV sitcom The Big Bang Theory is currently in negotiations to join Andrew Niccol's new sci-fi film previously called I'm Mortal

Galecki will join the already cast Olivia Wilde, Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried, Cillian Murphy, Vincent Kartheiser and Collins Pennie.

The story takes place in a future society where, thanks to a scientific breakthrough, no one has to age. Aging stops at 25 and time has become the currency. The rich are immortal, while the rest struggle to stay alive.

The story follows a rebel from the ghetto (Timberlake) who is falsely accused of murdering a wealthy man for his time, and goes on the run with a beautiful hostage (Seyfried). The duo unite in a battle against the system as they struggle to stay alive.

Galecki will be playing Timberlake's best friend. Wilde has taken on the role of Timberlakes mom. Kartheiser is playing the father of Seyfried's character, who is forced to choose between the daughter he loves and the oppressive time system that has made him rich. As for Murphy he plays a ruthless law enforcement officer tracking the protagonists, and Collins Pennie will play his right-hand man.

Niccol is known for directing films such as Gattaca and Lord of War.
