Fox Greenlights LOCKE & KEY Pilot

Comic BookTV by

Fox has officially greenlit a pilot of Locke & Key produced by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci for a likely summer run.  The show is being adapted from the comic book of the same name by the creator of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Josh Friedman.

The story will be based on the comic by Joe Hill which follows Nina Locke and her three children as they move to Keyhouse, the family home in Lovecraft, MA to recover from an unspeakable horror.  Keyhouse is a mysterious New England mansion with fantastic and transformative keys that are hidden inside its walls. The keys are being are being sought after by a sinister and relentless creature with ties to the families past who will stop at nothing to accomplish its goals.

I have never read the comic, but it sounds unique and a perfect television show that will keep viewers coming back each week for more.

What are your thoughts on this news?  Who should play the roles of the Locke family?
