PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2 Scares At The Box Office!

                    

It looks like a lot of us went to see Paranormal Activity 2 this weekend and it beat out all of it's competition too! Needless to say it has opened huge and to pleasing fans everywhere! it;s the highest opening ever for a supernatural horror movie, so now there's categories?

PA2 pulled in an estimated $41.5 million this weekend knocking off last weeks topper Jackass 3D with $21.6 mil. Rounding out the top ten are: Red ($15 mil), Hereafter ($12 mil), The Social Network ($7.2 mil), Secretariat ($7 mil), Life As We Know It ($6.3 mil), Legend of the Guardians ($3.1 mil), The Town ($2.7 mil), Easy A ($1.7 mil).

So last year the upstart Paranormal Activity embarrassed the old veteran Saw VI but I don't know about this year. Saw 3D looks like a very heavy hitter plus with the campaign that it's the final entry fans will sure go and check it out in 3D.

Horror is alive and well at the box office but we still need to learn to support the unrated offerings we are getting a chance to see at the theaters.
