Official Logo for TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON

Have I ever told you how much I don't like the new title for Michael Bay's Transformers 4? Transformers: Dark of the Moon... it doesn't really doesn't have a nice ring to it. It seems like everyone else I've talked to about the title don't like it either, but it looks like this is it, and it's here to stay.

The official logo that you see above comes from the new website that was launched for the film. I really hope this one turns out to be better than the first two, but I won't get my hopes up.

Michael Bay's third Transformers installment features Sam Witwicky taking his first tenuous steps into adulthood while remaining a reluctant human ally of Optimus Prime. The film centers around the space race between the U.S.S.R. and the USA, suggesting there was a hidden Transformers role in it all that remains one of the planet's most dangerous secrets. The villain of the third film will be Shockwave.

The film stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Kevin Dunn, Julie White, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, Ken Jeong, Patrick Dempsey, and it's scheduled to hit theaters on July 1st 2011, in 3D/2D and IMAX.

Do you think the next Transformers film is going to be good?
