Wes Anderson Looking to Cast Willis, Norton, McDormand & Murray in his next film MOON RISE KINGDOM

Movie Wes Anderson by Joey Paur

Director Wes Anderson (Rushmore, The Fantastic Mr. Fox) is looking to put together an incredible cast of actors for his next film, Moon Rise Kingdom. We also have some details on what this movie is going to be about.

According to Deadline, Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Frances McDormand and Tilda Swinton are all in talks to join the production. What a fantastic cast this would be! It's no surprise Murray is in the mix; he and Anderson obviously enjoy working together.

I'm a big fan of Anderson's work, and the guy has yet to let me down with the films he makes. I absolutely love how his films grow on you, and get better and better the more you watch them. At least that's been my experience with his films.

As for what Moon Rise Kingdom is about, here's a little description that was released.

[The Story] is set in the 60s. Two young adults fall in love and run away. Leaders in their New England town are sticking the idea that they've disappeared and go in search of them. Norton will play a scout leader who brings his charges on a search. Willis is in talks to play the town sheriff who’s also looking, and who is having an affair with the missing girl’s mother, the role McDormand is in talks to play. Murray, a regular in Anderson films, will play the girl's father, who has his own issues.

I love that the film is going to be a period piece set in the 60's! This sounds like it's going to end up being another great Anderson film. I really hope Anderson is able to get this cast on board.  It will be unlike anything we've seen most of them in before. Needless to say, I'm excited for this movie.

What are your thoughts on the casting and story for Anderson's next film?
