Check out the first poster for Goon starring Jay Baruchel and Sean William Scott.

Goon is a Canadian hockey comedy written by Jay Baruchel and Evan Goldberg. Seann William Scott plays a bouncer who joins a struggling hockey team. Goon is currently filming in Winnipeg under the direction of Michael Dowse.

Baruchel also stars along with Allison Pill, Marc-Andre Grondin, Liev Schreiber and Eugene Levy. This reminds me, and a lot of others, of Slap Shot with Paul Newman.

The film was recently trying to find a distributor at AFM. Goon is likely to debut at the 2011 Toronto Film Festival and hopefully a release will follow soon after that.
