Gore Verbinski Developing MAGICAL LAW TV Series For FOX

Director Gore Verbinski is currently developing a TV series for Fox.  The show is called Magical Law and as you can tell from the title it will be mix of of the supernatural and a legal drama.

Verbinski is working with Pirates scribe Terry Rossio on the script. The show will be set in a world where supernatural beings are part of everyday life and follows a force of specialized cops and lawyers as they face the challenges of prosecuting otherworldly crimes.

The series will be a partnership between 20th Century Fox TV and Verbinski's Blind Wink Prods.  Verbinski and Rossio will serve as executive producers along with Jeff Rake.  Rake will also be in charge of supervising the writing, and Blind Wink's Jonathan Krauss.

Verbinski may jump in as director if the project goes to pilot.  Rossio has a long professional relationship with Verbinski.  The two worked together on the first 3 Pirates of the Caribbean films. Rossio served as co-writer on the fourth installment of the franchise.  Verbinski is currently overseeing post-production on his animated feature Rango.
