Pierce Brosnan Returns To TV

Before he starred as James Bond, Pierce Brosnan starred in the 1982 NBC adventure dramedy Remington Steele.  He will make his return to TV with the help of veteran ER-writer Jack Orman and Sony Pictures Television.  Orman's script is currently being shopped around to international broadcasters by Sony in the hopes of landing pre-sales elsewhere before shopping itat U.S. networks.

As of now the show remains untitled and revolves around a private investigator who specializes in international crisis intervention and is called in to help solve homicides, abductions, financial schemes and other crimes anywhere in the world.  The story is based on the experience of international PI Logan Clarke who owns Clarke International Investigations out of LA.

The project was brought to Irish DreamTime, Brosnan's production company, and they will serve as executives to the series with Orman.  Surprisingly, Brosnan will not be playing the lead, instead opting for a smaller role on the show.  This is in the same style as Hugh Jackman's involvement on Viva Laughlin, which also was  produced by Sony TV. 

This show sounds very similar to USA's Burn Notice mixed with Leverage, but with an international twist.  Burn Notice is great, and if they are able to get a great cast to work with Brosnan this show could definitely be a success.  What are your thoughts?
