Yesterday, Trilobyte Games unveiled plans to port several of their classic PC titles to Apple’s i-Devices. Their new initiative gets underway this December with the release of horror puzzler The 7th Guest, which computer historians (aka old nerds) will remember as the first game to be released as a CD-ROM ($74.99 SRP upon its release).
“The port has been seamless, and our team has optimized the code for a full-range of mobile devices (Droid? Windows Phone 7?),” says Trilobyte’s Rob Landeros. “Props to Trilobyte co-founder Graeme Devine for supporting our efforts and working with us to make this happen.”
My father purchased The 7th Guest for me as a child and it terrified me to the point of having him return it. With my increase and courage and the scary images being smaller, I think I can handle it now.
