NBC Developing New Comedy SEVERAL CHILDREN With Comedian Dan Levy
NBC is partnering with comedian Dan Levy and Jamie Tarses to develop a new comedy to fill the spots of Outsourced and 30 Rock which have been moved to 10 pm. New Wave Entertainment, Tarses' Fan Fare and Sony Pictures Television are partnering with Levy on the deal.
Several Children is about a businesswomen who lives in a houseful of "kids", including her much younger husband, their two children and occasionally her husband's friends.
Levy is a veteran comedian and is best known for Long Distance Relationship which began as his web series but has now been turned into a pilot for MTV. He recently starred in the Comedy Central pilot Let it Ride and is writing an ABC Family movie entitled Stoked.
Julia Franz, Barry Katz, Brian Volk-Weiss and Michael Pelmont will also serve as executive producers on the NBC project. This sounds a lot like ABC's The Middle which has built itself a nice audience.
