THE THING Prequel Has A New Release Date, It Will Release On.....

                        

Good news on The Thing prequel front. It looks like the new release date will be October 14th, 2011. After being scheduled for April and then got the scary date scrapped that had some fans worried but it looks like it has a comfortable spot in the month of October where horror films feel right at home.

The prequel is directed by Matthijs van Heijningen which stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Joel Edgerton and tells the story about the Norwegian research base that digs up an alien ship and the shape-shifting alien that lies dormant within it.
