2011 Will Bring With It A New ASSASSIN'S CREED From Ubisoft

Games Ubisoft by

Asssasin's Creed: Brotherhood sold over a million units during the first week on sale in Europe.  As you can expect with any successful video game or movie that does that well sequels are bound to be in talks and the same is true for Assassin's Creed.  Ubisoft has already begun discussing the future of the highly successful franchise.

According to an interview with MCV,  Geoffery Sardin, Ubisoft's EMEA chief of marketing and sales confirmed that next year there will be another installment in the Assassins' Creed series. He also went on to discuss the possible directions that that the series could go in.

"If you've read the comic books you will see that we took Assassin's Creed to the USSR, or Caesar's Rome – that's a good example of what we could do in the coming years in the next video games. We never saw this as just a franchise – it is a 360 degree franchise, and touches a lot of other experiences. It's not just a game, but an animated story, on comics, in books, and other formats too. There's lots of scope for what we can do."

As you can see they have major plans for this franchise and I would be willing to bet that not only is a new video game in the works but also a film.  I have yet to play this game, but the more I hear about it and see some of the stills from the game make me very excited about the possibility.  Have you played the games?  Are you excited for more Assassin's Creed?  Do you think a movie would be a logical step for the future?
