Rumor: Heath Ledger's Joker to Show up in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES

There's a pretty crazy rumor floating around the internet today that director Christopher Nolan is planning to bring Heath Ledger's Joker back in The Dark Knight Rises. As you know, Ledger passed away back in 2008, but now there's a chance he'll be brought back to life for the next Batman film.

Show Biz Spy reports that Nolan is planning to use unseen footage from Ledger’s Dark Knight performance as the Joker in his upcoming Dark Knight Rises. An insider reveals that the "idea is to use these fragments of cut scenes and use CGI to have The Joker appear one last time. Chris wants some continuity between movies and for the franchise to pay tribute to Heath and his portrayal of the Joker. It would only be a fleeting moment in the movie and would only be included with the full consent of Heath’s family.”

I have no idea if any of this is true or not, but it seems ridiculous to me that they would do that. It just doesn't seem right. I'll be shocked if this all turns out to be true. I guess if it's all done in good taste, in memory of Ledger it's OK... right?

What do you all think about the possibility Ledger's Joker having a cameo in the next Batman movie?
