Newmarket Films has released a second trailer for their upcoming film, The Way Back. The movie was directed by Peter Weir. Weir is a fantastic director who has brought us films such as Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, The Dead Poets Society, and The Truman Show. It looks like he's created another great movie. He also put together a great cast of actors for the film that includes Colin Farrell, Jim Sturgess, Ed Harris, Mark Strong and Saoirse Ronan.

The film is based on a true story that chronicles the escape of a small group of multi-national prisoners from a Siberian gulag in 1940, and their epic, life affirming journey over thousands of miles across five hostile countries.

The movie looks like it's going to be an intensely epic film. Watch the trailer below and let us know what you think! The film comes out December 29th.
