Ahmet Zappa Writing Script Inspired By Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room

Movie Disney by

Ahmet Zappa and his writing partner Michael Wilson are writing an action adventure film for Disney that's filled with Polynesian mythology.  Sources say that the inspiration came from Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room.  Despite the inspiration, the film will not be an adaptation of the ride itself, but will merely have a Polynesian backdrop, said a Disney spokesperson.

Having recently been to the Enchanted Tiki Room I can attest that this is not the most exciting attraction in the park, but there are lots of great colors and Polynesian flare that would be a great setting for a film.

The attraction is based around animatronic birds as well as other tropical wildlife and was built in the early 1960s.  Walt Disney loved animatronics, as can be seen throughout the park.  The Tiki Room was one of the original attractions to use that technology and thus was held in high regard by Disney.

Zappa has a budding relationship with Disney.  The Odd Life of Timothy Green is a fantasy movie currently in production starring Jennifer Garner which was written by Zappa.  Disney loves to build movies around their attractions, and we may even see more scripts in the future from Zappa.

With Tron: Legacy hitting theaters, there have been many events and attractions at the parks related to the film.  The fourth installment of the Pirates of the Carribean franchise and Haunted Mansion, being developed by Guillermo del Toro, are prime examples of Disney pimping out their attractions in film.
