Last week on CONAN (if you haven't been watching it, you're dead to me), Conan O'Brien stops by the DC Comics Animation Dept. to check out what's going on in the world of comic books. He points out some humorously crappy characters from DC's past, like Captain Boomerang and Bat Lash. He then gets his own superhero persona, drawn by Bruce Timm.

It was refreshing to see a comical look at the kind of characters real comic book fanatics find interesting. Anyone remember the Captain Boomerang we saw in Identity Crisis? You kinda forget how important a role he played when Conan laughs heartily at his weak sauce villain costume. And if you do get a chance to check out the DC Encyclopedia sometime, there are some real doozies in there...I mean, what were they thinking!?
