LOVE STALKER, an independent unromantic comedy film, set and shot in South City, St. Louis is releasing their first trailer for the film on their website at www.lovestalker.com.
LOVE STALKER is an edgy indie "unromantic comedy" co-written, co-produced and co-directed by Matt Glasson & B. Bowls MacLean. It is the story of a 30-something bar-hopping player named Pete (writer/director Glasson) who lives to “play the game” and bed as many women as possible to reach his "golden number." Things change for him once he meets Stephanie (Rachel Chapman), a web-savvy relationship blogger, and the two begin to get romantic. However, when she discovers the extent of his player ways, she ends the relationship, driving Pete to stalker-like lengths in his rom-com inspired efforts to win her back.
LOVE STALKER has exploited many of the local bars, landmarks and population to capture unique flavor of St. Louis’s urban personality. From bars such as Silver Ballroom, Pop's Blue Moon, Upstairs Lounge and Thaxton Speakeasy to the City Museum, a wide spectrum of the St. Louis culture is highlighted and showcased within the film. Additionally, LOVE STALKER is populated with a diverse and eclectic cast of characters both local and imported from New York City and elsewhere to bring an authentic and naturalistic approach to the acting.
The film is now in post-production with an anticipated completion date of Spring of 2011.
