Video: Emily Blunt Discussing Her Role In LOOPER
Emily Blunt is very excited about her upcoming sci-fi film Looper written and directed by Rian Johnson. The film also stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis, who play the same person in different time periods. The story reportedly revolves around a group of time-hopping killers known as Loopers.
Blunt had the following to say when she sat down with MTV News to do press for Gulliver's Travels,
"It's sort of post-apocalypto time travel, time-traveling world where it's a dog-eat-dog world. And it's set in sort of 2050 or 2060, that sort of time, when the world has gone to s***."
She did not go into detail about the plot of the film, but went on to say,
"I have one [scene] with Bruce and the rest is with Joe. It's really a very cool high-concept movie that I probably will take all day if I try to explain it. But I think Rian Johnson is somewhat of a genius, and I thought 'Brick' was phenomenal as a movie. So I'm really excited."
Blunt talks about how awesome her character Sara is in the film,
"I play a really tough girl, sort of Midwestern, lives on a farm. I wield an ax and shoot a gun. I've got to learn how to chop wood at some point."
