Emma Stone Has Signed On For Multiple SPIDER-MAN Films

It looks like we will have to get used to seeing Emma Stone with blonde hair for quite a bit longer. Last night she appeared on the Jay Leno and revealed that she has signed on for more than one Spider-Man film with Marc Webb. 

Here is what she said,

“There’s a few Spidermen, so I may have to keep it for a couple of years.”

She goes on to mention how she has had to begin sessions with a personal trainer to get in shape for her role of Gwen Stacy.  She also has the same trainer as Andrew Garfield who plays Spidey, but she will not work out with him at the same time,

“The other day, after work, I was supposed to work out with our trainer and Andrew said ‘Would it be ok if I worked out with you guys?’

“I was like ‘No, that would not be ok’. He said ‘Why? It’ll be a bonding experience’.

“I said ‘Because you can lift a car and I am a weakling beyond belief’. We’re on two completely different ends of the spectrum.”

What is interesting about this news for those of you familiar with the original comic book series is that this would be a little difficult if the reboot sticks to the original story.

In the original comics, Stacy dies as a result of Peter Parker's actions and that causes Mary Jane Parker to become closer to Peter and that is how that love blossoms.  Whow knows if the Webb reboot will follow the same story at all. 

I am by no means a purist, I don't think it is horrible for a director to veer into a new direction.  In fact, I like it.  How would it be if every single adaptation was word for word like the book or comic?  I personally think that would be rather boring.
