Is this Concept Art for J.J. Abrams Big Bad Alien from SUPER 8?

The concept art above could end up being the design of J.J. Abrams badass alien in his upcoming film Super 8. I'm not sure if it's legit or not, but the Paramount logo and Bad Robot name in the indicia leads me to believe that there's some validity to it. The image comes from an IMDB user who had this to say about where it came from:

So, my friend's brother's wife works for a company that does marketing for films, video games, music, etc. Occasionally she'll get chain mails from these companies, which aren't supposed to go to them. A few days ago she received a chain mail intended for the production staff within Paramount.

If Paramount Pictures asks us to take it down, then I guess we know it's real. 

If it turns out to be real, what do you think of the design? It looks like something Abrams would come up with.
