Guillermo del Toro Talks AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS

If you are like me, you are very excited for Guillermo del Toro's adaptation of the H.P. Lovecraft novella At the Mountains of Madness.

During a recent discussion with the LA Times, del Toro put fans like myself at ease by saying he's actively engaged with the project and moving ahead with the tale of the mysteries and monsters on an Antarctic expedition.

According to the discussion, del Toro even met with Universal and gave the executives a walk-through on his concepts and models for the movie. It also appears that the script is already done and fiming should begin this summer, even as early as June.

James Cameron is not a producer on the film in name only.  According to del Toro, Cameron was present at the meeting and has been offering some notes.

In reference to that del Toro stated:

"In his subtle style he said to me, 'I have a few notes, but I have one fatal flaw [that I see in the script] He pointed out one thing that was big. I've been thinking about this for 35 years, and he pointed out something I'd never seen."

Are you as excited about this project as I am?  Let us know your thoughts!
