The Wachowskis set to Direct new ROBIN HOOD Movie

From out of no where, news hits that the Wachowski siblings (The Matrix, Speed Racer) have written and will direct a new urban modern day Robin Hood movie called Hood for Warner Bros.

There really aren't any details on the film, but you can bet it's going to turn out to be unlike any Robin Hood movie we've seen before. I'm sure it will have an explosion of comic book inspired visuals that the Wachowskis are known for creating. 

THR also reports that the directing duo are already reaching out to actors, and insiders are saying that Will Smith is one of those actors they reached out to.

I'm really surprised by this news, but maybe they have a crazy good idea. I'm interested to see what they have up there sleeve. 

The Wachowski's have also been working on producing the film adaptation of Cloud Atlas with offers out to Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, James McAvoy, Ian McKellen and Natalie Portman to play starring roles in the film. As far as I know they are only producing this film. They've also been working on getting a crazy film off the ground called Colbalt Neural 9. This is going to be a tuff one to get funding for because of the subject matter. The story is told from the point of view of archeologists piecing together events from the U.S. occupation of Iraq using found footage and includes two male soldiers falling in love and a plot to assassinate George W. Bush.
