First Look at a CGI Rendered Movie SMURF

As you probably know by now, The Smurfs are headed to the big screen in the form of a CGI animated and live-cction film. The movie is starting to take shape and now we have our first look at what one of the CGI rendered Smurfs will look like. I can't say that I'm too excited for this movie to come out, as big as a Smurf fan as I was when I was a kid, the thought of it being turned into a CGI live-action hybrid annoys me. Movies like Alvin and the Chipmunks and Garfield have sucked beyond measure and now I think The Smurfs are headed down that really crappy road as well. It doesn't help either that the director of Beverly Hills Chihuahua and Scooby-Doo, Raja Gosnell, is directing. 

I understand that this movie is being made for kids, but all the films that Pixar makes are for kids as well, it doesn't mean that these kinds of films have to suck. I have no doubt that this Smurfs movie will make a good amount of money regardless of how bad it is. I just see no reason of getting my hopes up.
