DreamWorks to Make Bourne-Styled Action Film called ABDUCTION with Taylor Lautner

 

Yes, Twilight's Taylor Lautner has been cast in yet another movie, but out of every movie he's been cast in recently, this new DreamWorks action thriller,  Abduction, sounds like the best and most interesting one. There was actually a big bidding war on this movie recently and DreamWorks has come out the winner. So what's the movie about? Let me tell you.

The story follows a teenager named Nathan who has long felt disconnected from his parents, and figures out why. That unleashes a chain of violent events. He eventually finds out a crazy ass secret... his "parents" kidnapped him as a child and raised him as their own. The revelation of this unfolds a conspiracy and Nathan and his girlfriend go on the run. According to /Film the movie is like Bourne meets Hitchcock for a Twilight kind of crowd.

The concept for this film is definitely a high concept idea with huge potential. It's sad that they cast Lautner as the lead role in the film, because it will most likely turn off a bunch of movie goers who won't see it, at the same time it will turn on a whole different audience that will go see it who might not otherwise watch a movie like this.
