Ok, so we've seen Jeff Bridges as an older and younger Kevin Flynn in the amazing test-footage for Disney's Tron Legacy. We've also seen a photo of Olivia Wilde, who plays Flynn's loyal confidant, and Garrett Hedlund as Sam Flynn, the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn, who looks into his father’s disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years.
But we have yet to see Jeff Bridges in non-test-footage. We don't know how the tests will factor in, if at all, into the movie. Visually though, they seem to have gotten rid of the "scanned in" look that the character's skin had in the test-footage. But we'll have just have to wait and see what director Joseph Kosinski's final product will look like.
We do know though, and this picture testifies further, that even though the world of Tron is evolving, Kevin Flynn has kept some of the older models of things. His clothes are much different than the black biker garb that we've seen the other characters wear. We also know from what the filmmakers said at Comic-Con, that Flynn has an older version of the light-cycle, but that it's far superior in speed than the newer models. So we'll see how the old school battles the new.
Also starring in the 3D adventure is Bruce Boxleitner, James Frain, Beau Garrett and Michael Sheen.
