First Look at Sylvain Chomet's Animated Film THE ILLUSIONIST
We've got our first look at the new animated feature from director Sylvain Chomet's The Illusionist. This film and animation looks absolutely beautiful. Apparently the movie premiered this week at the Berlin Film Festival, and it been getting some positive feedback.
I don't know if you saw Chomet's last film The Triplets of Belleville or not, but it was quite incredible. If you haven't seen it you should definitely check it out.
The film is based upon an unproduced script of Jacque Tati, and according to the official synopsis this is the “story of a dying breed of stage entertainer whose thunder is being stolen by emerging rock stars. Forced to accept increasingly obscure assignments in fringe theaters, garden parties and bars, he meets a young fan who changes his life forever”.
There is no English spoken at all in the video, but you get your first look at the film's great animation. Check out the first footage from the film and leave your thoughts in the Rant Back section below!
