First SUPERMAN Comic Book Sells for a Record of $1 Million

Comic Book Superman by Joey Paur

A 1938 edition of Action Comics first issue, featuring Superman sold for a record breaking $1 million dollars! This is the most money a rare comic like this has ever sold for. The associated Press reported:

It features Superman lifting a car on its cover and originally cost 10 cents.

It was sold by a private seller to a private buyer, neither of whom released their names. The sale was conducted by the auction site ComicConnect.com.

Before this $1 million buy, the previous record was held by the exact same comic book and sold for $317,000 bucks. The recent comic book that was sold was obviously in much better condition.

The question is, if you had a million bucks would you spend it on Action Comics #1?
