Watch First Full Episode of David Cross and Will Arnett's U.K. Sitcom

Here's the first episode of The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, the U.K. only show that is available for American viewing on the Tube of the You. The sitcom reunites Arrested Development's Will Arnett and David Cross and this first pilot episode features Cross' real-life girlfriend Amber Tamblyn.

Synopsis:

American Todd Margaret (Cross) bluffs his way into an apparently great job opportunity, heading up the sales team in his employer's London office. All he has to do is sell a dozen container loads of dodgy Korean energy drink before his psychotic boss (Arnett) visits him in a week. Simple. Apart from the fact that he knows nothing about British culture and nothing about sales. He also only has one employee to assist him, Dave, who is perhaps the most wilfully unhelpful employee ever.

Todd's life is further complicated when he lies continuously to cover his ignorance and spectacularly fails to impress beautiful cafe owner Alice. Dave soon takes full advantage of Todd's situation and chaos ensues.

Sharon Horgan, Russell Tovey, Kayvan Novak, Matt King, John Fortune, John Bishop, and Sara Pascoe also star.

This first episode feels a bit slow, that is up until the last segment where Cross owns it; with a 6 can energy-drink-induced, vulgarity-filled, sales pitch. Arnett's performance is everything-but-subtle, but good nonetheless.

But the show's hook is contained in the first 30 seconds: 14 Days after Cross is given the job in London, he is put on trial for charges that range from funding a terrorist organization to being in possession of child pornography with intent to distribute. So I assume this has a 14 episode run (one for every day), which will depict the events and misunderstandings that lead up to his arrest.

U.K. programmer More 4 has ordered a full series episode run for the show.
