Michael Bay testing 3D and will bring in New Characters for TRANSFORMERS 3

Transformers 3 is in full blown development, and the movie is prepping up to shoot. Michael Bay recently had a message up on his blog telling fans that there are going to be a couple big action sequences shot in Chicago and Moscow. He also appeared on Starz' In the House recently to talk a little bit more about the third installment of Paramount Pictures money making franchise.

There were a good amount of people that didn't like the sequel, it was so over the top action packed that the whole movie was a blur of transforming metal and bad dialogue. But it made a but load of money, so why not make a few dollars more with a third film?

So Bay comes in and talks about how he wants to keep things fresh by adding in a lot more stuff. Yes, more stuff. He explains:

You can't just rehash the old. We're adding a lot of new elements. We're adding new characters. We're adding a lot of twists.

More elements, characters and twists! As for the film being in 3D they are doing some tests with the technology right now to see how well it will work with all of the insane Transforming robots.

It's a process we're testing with some 'Transformers' scenes. How successful it is with my movie in terms of a lot of real stuff coming out of the frame, real dirt, real complicated little particles coming towards the lens, because hopefully that process will work. I've seen some tests that look great on other movies. I just want to see how it looks on my footage.

I'm not really that excited for a third film because after the first two, you know it's not going to get any better.

What are your thoughts on Transformers 3?
