Percy Jackson's Logan Lerman in Talks to play Peter Parker in SPIDER-MAN Reboot

Now that Sony has brought in Marc Webb to direct their Spider-Man reboot they are looking to get the film into production so they can reach their 2012 release date. We've heard a few rumors of people being up for the role like Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Zac Efron, and Jim Sturgess, but I doubt any of these guys will be cast, because the reboot has Peter Parker as a younger teenager in high school. They all kinda look their age now.

Word on the street is that Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief star Logan Lerman is up for the role of Peter Parker in the movie. He himself revealed that he's in early talks with Sony Pictures to Access Hollywood. He tells them,

There have been a few discussions, it's definitely something I'm looking into. It's one of my favorite characters ever and I'm a huge fan of the series. I'd love to have more conversations about it. I'm definitely very interested in it.

Access Hollywood adds that Logan said the interest in him playing Spider-Man was "vice versa" from both him and the studio.

It's just, you know, conversations are starting. It's a long process with the studio and the producers and everything. But it's definitely a project that I'm really interested in, of course. I'd love to focus on the human element a little bit more. It'd be such a fun experience.

Now no one is saying that he's been cast, but this gives us a good idea of the type of actors they are look at to fill the role of Peter Parker in the new Spider-Man reboot. They are going for the much younger looking guys, the ones that actually look like they can pass for a high school student.

So what are your thoughts on the possibility of Logan Lerman playing Spider-Man?
