New ALICE IN WONDERLAND Character Posters - Cheshire Cat & The White Rabbit

PosterMovie Tim Burton by Eli Reyes

As March 5th creeps up on us like an employee at Bed Bath and Beyond, we're reminded that we are "Invited to a very Important Date!" The date of course being Disney's release of Tim Burton's 3D adventure Alice In Wonderland. The reminder being these two new character posters that premiered over at MTV. The first is a new look at The Cheshire cat salivating over a fruit tart, and the second is a close but familiar look at The White Rabbit with dynamite strapped to his chest threatening to blow Wonderland to smithereens! Ok, so he's just pointing at the time... forgive me for trying to "jazz it up."

But MTV did learn a cool little fact about the not-soundtrack, Almost Alice. As Burton's go-to-guy, Danny Elfman will be providing the movie's score, but the other pop/punk filled release is music "inspired by" the film -- "Hey, include the word rabbit or hole in your song and we'll make some money." The Almost Alice title comes from a bit of dialogue in the film. As Burton's film is a sequel of sorts, and takes place years after Alice's first visit to Wonderland...

... when she arrives, all of her old Wonderland friends note that she is different, not the spitfire she once was. The Caterpillar, voiced by none other than "Harry Potter" star Alan Rickman notes that she is "almost Alice."
So there you have it. Mystery solved. Enjoy the posters and let us know what you think.
